My name is Chico Junior, and I have a story to tell you about my daddy Chico, Sr.
One Frosty day, we were sitting in the Garden in the sun trying to keep warm.  The Rescuer came by to give us lunch.  She said that a snow storm was coming, and that she would be busy preparing for it.  When she walked away, I asked Mommy what snow is.  She told me that it is white flakes falling from the sky.  That sounded great, and I couldn't wait to tell Daddy about it.  Just then Chico, and Tommy came up from the basement.  Chico told Mommy, and the others that he heard the super saying we are going to have a snowstorm, with a lot of wind.  Mommy told him that the Rescuer was here, and that she is going to prepare for the snow.  Daddy said he would check around the backyard, and the streets and make sure that any strays around will be warned about the storm.  He asked Tommy to go with him.  Chico said that we should not leave the garden, and when the snow starts, we should go down to the basement.  So with that, Tommy and Chico started walking away.  They went walking through the backyard, and they saw some kitties and told them about the snow, and they said that they will go home.  Tommy said there was a cat that they didn't recognize on the other side of the yard.  Chico said, “let's go tell him about the storm.”  The cat started running away.  Chico was worried that this cat would not know how to take shelter, so he told Tommy we have to find him.  The sun went in, and it started to get very windy.  Then the snow started falling down.  Chico yelled out to the cat.  Tommy saw the cat peep from around the wall, and told Chico.  Daddy told him this is a bad storm.  Please follow us, and we will take you down our basement where you will be warm.  As they were walking through the cellar to the street, the snow was getting higher.  Chico was worried that they were not going to make it back to the garden.  Daddy told Tommy to stay right here with this cat, and that he would be back.  He told Tommy he was going to go through the window where he used to live, and go down to the basement from there.  At about this time, the Rescuer was in the basement preparing our food and water.  Daddy started meowing, and scratching on the door.  The Rescuer heard Daddy, and went running to him.  She opened the cellar door to go out to the backyard, and Chico met her there.  He led her to Tommy, and the Kitty.  Luckily the cat was friendly.  She scooped him up, and they all ran through the cellar door into the basement.  By this time, Mommy was very worried.  The Rescuer put the cat in a carrier, and took the elevator upstairs into the building, to her apartment.  Chico, and Tommy went walking through the basement to where we were.  Mommy was so relieved to see them, and I ran to Daddy.  He told us everything will be okay because we are all together, and will be safe and sound from the storm.
I will be back next month with another story.
