My name is Chico Junior and I have a story to tell you about my daddy Chico. Many people, and animals rely on Daddy for his wisdom and advice. Chico says he knows people like to talk things over with him, and the reality is he told Mommy, that he can just be there to listen, and somehow it is enough. Chico was talking to us in the garden one day. Mommy, Tommy, and aunt Anna, myself and the others were standing around listening to him. Chico said we have to do something to help the underprivileged cats in the neighborhood. We are so fortunate to be taken care of by Save Our Strays. They feed us a couple of times a day, and take us to the doctor when we are not feeling well. He reminded us that he heard The Rescuers saying that Save Our Strays is running low on funds for food. They struggle to feed the Coney Island strays. They would like to feed more colonies, but funds are low, and at that this time, they are unable to. It might be a long time for them to get the donations to feed more animals. We have to go around looking for the hungry and tell them they can eat with us. We can eat once a day and share our food with them. This excludes the elderly here, and the very young. Daddy looked at me when he said that. Chico said I already told Jeffrey, who lives in the playground, that he is welcome here to eat with our family, and then he can go home to the park These are hard times, and we have to show a little kindness. Daddy said if we are good to others God will bless us. I will be back with another story next month.
