Meet Cheddar!
            Cheddar was born behind a mechanic shop, along with a twin brother who are both orange, and another kitten which was black.  They were all rescued when they were about eight weeks old, but at eight weeks old they were already feral, and they needed socializing.  Cheddar was the first one to make the turn-around, as I call it.  Thanks to Save Our Strays, they all got neutered and had their shots administered.  Ironically, one of my personal friends was looking for an Orange Kitten.  When I told her I had twin orange kittens, she was so excited and told me to pick out which one was friendlier, which happened to be Cheddar. Timing is everything in life.  That was the first time.  My friend asked me if I had an orange cat for adoption, and behold I sure did.  I brought Cheddar to her house on a trial run, to see if her adult cat Stella would get along with him.  She wanted her adult female cat to have a friend.  Apparently, Cheddar and her cat Stella had an immediate connection within 2 to 3 days, which is amazing in my opinion, for two cats to get along so quickly.  My friend told me that she was already falling in love with Cheddar.  You might say it was meant to be.  Thanks to Save Our Strays, I was able to rescue these kittens from behind the mechanic shop, and they won’t be suffering in the outdoor elements looking for food and shelter.  I still have the twin brother named Cheeto, and the black kitten named Louie.  They will have their day when they will be adopted, but for now I am their mommy until their forever home is found.  The mother of the kittens was trapped, and spayed and put back with the colony at the mechanic shop.  She’s doing very well, and now she doesn’t have to worry about getting pregnant again.  I really love what I do.  It brings me joy that the cats I rescue off the streets get good homes, and it makes it worthwhile for me to continue my mission with the help of Save Our Strays.  One cat or kitten at a time.

Meet Beau!
            Beau has been adopted.  Thanks to Save Our Strays!  He was found wandering around a public Home Depot parking lot.  He was already neutered, but with no microchip, there was no way to find his way back home.  There is a colony there of other cats, so we carefully assessed the situation.  We came to the conclusion that Beau was dropped off there by his owner.  He was clean, like he had been taken out of his house, and just completely dropped off without any reason that I could see, as far as behavior.  His giant black freckle on his face just makes me laugh.  He is such
a good boy and a big, big boy and has no behavioral problems whatsoever.  I don’t understand why they would not have taken him to a shelter.  He is so friendly, so sweet and very adoptable.  Thanks to Save Our Strays, we were able to update his shots and give him a good checkup before he goes to his forever home.  A second chance at happiness, and the home we found for him. I am confident that this is a forever place. Good luck Beau!!
