![]() FLORIDA RESCUE RANGER Meet Twinkie! Twinkie was found roaming around a park. She was super friendly, so we were able to pick her up and put her in a cage. We took her home, and scanned her for a microchip and she did not have one. Thanks to Save Our Strays, we were able to make an appointment to get her spayed and update her shots. As you can see, she is an orange cat, and I would say 90% of the time orange cats are usually male, but Twinkie was definitely a girl. We took her in to one of our veterinarians to be spayed, and the doctor said she had already been spayed. It was terrible that she had to go through surgery to find this out. This is what happens when people don’t microchip their cats. It’s very important to have your pet microchipped nowadays. It gives information to everyone just in case the cat is lost. So, basically, whoever owned this cat before never got it back because we were not able to find the owner. However, the good news is that Twinkie was adopted by a new family that loves her very much. As you can see by the picture, she is healthy and happy and relaxing on the couch. We made sure that we put a microchip on Twinkie. That way, the same scenario doesn’t happen again. Thanks to Save Our Strays for all their continued help.
