Report from South Carolina
 
        We have rescued 6 three week old kittens.  The mother was found near them in a wooded area, by a passerby who was walking their dog.  The mother had been attacked, and is over the Rainbow Bridge.  The kittens had been hidden under a fallen tree branch.  We were told earlier that the dog either heard the babies crying, or smelled them.  In any case, he pulled his human parent over to where the kittens were.  The good samaritan got a box from her car, and brought the kittens to our sister rescue group in South Carolina.  They were checked by a veterinarian, and are in pretty good condition.  They will be fostered until they can be spayed/neutered, and placed in forever homes.
 
        Save Our Strays will sponsor their medical bills.  It’s great when people can work together, to save helpless stray animals.
