SOUTH CAROLINA RESCUE Rescues come in various forms. Gracie, is a Black mixed Pitbull. She lived with a family that didn’t look at her as family. They picked up, and moved, leaving Gracie alone in a house that the family had rented. She was found by a neighbor, who heard her barking continuously. She had seen a truck taking out furniture, but didn’t think too much of it. People move in, and people move out. She knew that they had a dog. So, when she heard the barking, she went to investigate. Gracie was found with cuts, and sores all over her body. She was taken to the veterinarian by this good neighbor, and Save Our Strays has assumed the veterinary cost. We are trying to find a Dog Rescue in this area, that will take her and find her a forever home. The neighbor will foster her for as long as need be. Gracie has a wonderful personality. It is a terrible thing to do to an animal. If you can’t keep your pet, take it to your local shelter or try to find a Rescue Group that takes the same breed, if you can. Gracie will, going forward, know love and caring. *********************************** COLD WEATHER REMINDER!!! As the outdoor temperatures start to drop, cats will hide under car hoods for protection and warmth. Use caution when you start your car in the cold winter months ahead. If cats are left outside, they may climb under the car hood for protection from the cold. Before you climb into your car, slap the hood or open it for a quick look around.
