SOUTH CAROLINA RESCUE NUGGET & NOODLE’S STORY Two beautiful young boys, one brown and one grey, both classic Tabbies, turned up begging in a yard in a quiet neighborhood off a busy highway. The home residents, who were renting the house, attempted to find out where the babies had come from, since they were shy, but not feral. Winning them over with food, the home residents coaxed the boys inside, notified the shelter in case anyone was searching for them, and began to look for a rescue to assist. The residents agreed to foster the boys, with the option to adopt, if circumstances allowed. We took them under our wing, and had them vetted, given vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and given flea treatment. The landlord sold the home that our fosterers were renting, and now a deadline loomed for them to find another place to rent. Our boys were not able to go with them. We were in the process of looking for a new foster home, and began campaigns to advertise them, in the event that an adoptive home could be found. Miraculously, friends of our fosterers met, and agreed to adopt both boys. As the boys were so bonded to each other, this was the best outcome ever. Nugget, and Noodle are now happily part of a wonderful new family, and will have them, and each other, for a lifetime. Happy Tails, boys!
