Save Our Strays was formed in 1968, and incorporated in New York in 1972. We are here 56 years at present. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to save the lives of animals. We are especially concerned with the millions of ill, injured, and abandoned animals now living on the streets of New York City, and other major cities in our country.
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray animals. We provide medical care, shelter, and love to animals in need. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to give these animals a second chance at a happy and healthy life.
What We Do
Ensuring accessibility on our website is crucial to us. We believe that everyone, including people with disabilities, should have equal access to information about our organization and the animals we help. An accessible website allows all individuals to learn about our cause, get involved, and support our efforts.
Why Accessibility Matters
We have designed our website to be accessible to individuals with disabilities. Our efforts align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 - select relevant option] to ensure that our website meets the standards for accessibility. We have implemented features such as alternative text for images, clear heading structures, and color contrast enhancements to make our website usable for everyone.
