Meet Cooper! Cooper was found behind a civilian‘s house, that had many cats roaming around. He was picked up as a young kitten, and was taken to get neutered and all his shots were done. Meet sweet Taffy! She was found running around a rehab center. The only cat there, and the owner of the establishment didn’t want her there. It was a perfect place for her, and she would hang out with all the patients that were there, but in the long run the owner of the business wins. She was not spayed, and she had some kind of trauma to the eye. Thanks to Save Our Strays, we got her checked out by a professional Eye Doctor and he said that the eye was blind and that it ha

We link hands under those who are struggling. The struggle is real. One of our local community contacts texted, and said that they had talked a feral boy into coming in to see the “other side.” The cat had been seen in the neighborhood for at least three years, and had been elusive until just recently.

LABOR DAY HAPPY ROSH HASHANAH YOM KIPPUR Dear Friends, and Members: It has been extremely hot all over the country, and beyond our shores. There have been earthquakes, flooding, fires and worse, there has been loss of human life. In one way or another, human life finds as much help as possible – not enough at times, but help is there. As far as animal life is concerned, the unspoken loss is not addressed. There are organizations that can help in certain areas, but not all. W

Hi. August is here again, and so far this has been one of the hottest summers we have had. Please, please watch out for the strays, and remember to carry dry food, as moist food will spoil in the heat. A cold bottle of water will also be helpful. Also, remember to bring something to put the water in. You can make a bowl from aluminum foil wrap, which you can fold in your bag. Meet Cooper!! He was found behind an elderly man’s house. Originally there were two kittens, but unfortunately, the sibling did not make it. He was loaded with mange and just very unhealthy. Thanks to Save Our Strays for stepping in, and helping to get this baby back on track. He received Ivermectin, and was neutered and all his shots were done. The struggle is real. One associate recently spear-headed a huge trap/neuter/recover/release initiative, which resulted in 87 cats being altered in one sitting!
