FLORIDA RESCUE RANGER - November - 2025

Meet Glory!
The late afternoon sun beat down on the shimmering asphalt of a Home Depot parking lot. A tiny, terrified three month old calico kitten was huddled up against a stack of mulch behind the building. This was Glory terrified. With a coat of color that was faint, like a sunset, matching the mulch and the concrete, she was difficult to see. I heard her small meows, as I was out feeding a colony of feral cats. Glory was driven from hunger, and was desperate to be noticed and rescued. She was lucky that I had some warm chicken with me, and I managed to scruff her by the neck without using a trap. She was skittish, but somehow knew that the worst was over. I brought her home to her new foster home, where she would be socialized. Thanks to Save Our Strays. I was able to bring her to the veterinarian and get her spayed, and all her shots were done and now her journey would begin to be socialized and put up for adoption. Offering toys, food, and love she was making great strides, but had difficulty being held while standing. Each day, I would pick her up and hold her for a few seconds,
and each day the seconds turned into minutes. Slowly, the trust was being formed towards humans. Rescued from a stressful environment, Glory is a true success. She is now fully socialized, healthy, happy, and ready to bring joy to her forever family. Thanks to Save Our Strays, her Home Depot days were over, and now she can look forward to her bright future. Let’s give thanks to organizations like Save Our Strays for caring, and helping these homeless animals find their way. Good luck Glory!!
