ROBBIN’S NEST
Happy Valentine’s Day to all of our readers. Remember that this is the month of Love, so let’s all make it a priority to be kind to each other, and those less fortunate than we are.
On another note, I would like to tell you about some rescues that I have been involved in lately.
PATCH & RUBY –
Patch, and Ruby are sister and brother. I found both of them at one of my spots in Coney Island, near the projects. Patch was adopted, but was very sad and the person who adopted him called the fosterer to tell me that Patch was very unhappy. The fosterer told the adopter to adopted the sister, Ruby and that maybe that would help to make Patch happy. The adopter agreed to take Ruby as well, and so far, they are getting acclimated. So far, so good.
JACKSON –
One day, while my rescuer friend and I were trapping kittens, we managed to get all but one. It took a few days more for us to catch the other kitten, who we named Jackson. Once we got him, we worked with him to socialize him and he turned out very well. After months, we finally got him adopted last week to a nice couple, and he is doing fine. He turned out to be a very sweet kitten. We just needed to have patience with him.
JULIE –
A month ago, I told you a story about finding 6 kittens in a bag. We finally got the last one, a Tabby cat who we named Julie adopted. She was sickly at first, but we worked with her, and got her in tip top shape. She is now living with a couple, and a 14 yr old girl and is living a happy life.
